Summit Writing Workshop
Story Quest: Crafting Stories From Your Imagination
How do you transform ideas into a cohesive story? How do you know which ideas to include and which to leave out? How do you pace your story to keep your reader wanting more?
In this workshop, we start by creating characters, put those characters in a setting and then give them a problem to solve. Where do these characters, settings, and problems come from? Your student’s imagination of course!
By learning how to ask questions, students pull stories from their imaginations.
Once they’ve drafted their story, students use a set of principles to guide their copyediting process.
